First the surgical wound was a little moist, then it was intermittently dripping, then it was seaping and stretching wider apart. It was during this state that a co-worker grasped Jarrod by the shoulders like he was a calf about to be roped, "hey buddy!" and tore open the incision. It ended up being a blessing because the Doctor scheduled an immediate surgery for the following day (09/05/06). They flushed the area with 8 gallons of water and scrubbed the heck out of it with a kick@$$ scrub brush. THE GOOD NEWS: the infection had not reached the tendon graph. He is healing well under Mandy's TLC.
